Summer is that period of the year when every single person dreams of taking a break from the everyday frenzy and have a vacation. And this is exactly what we, together with our students, will do in the month of June. For the fourth module of the Executive MBA validated by the University of Buckingham and co-designed by the TEE business and alumni community, you will find us in the heart of south-east England, where you can find the heritage of all Kings and Queens, from Charles II to Elizabeth I. That’s right! We’re going to Buckingham, a former prosperous English medieval market town where we will spend a few days on the campus of their university.
But while Buckingham has kept its medieval air over the centuries, the world is continuously switching to digitalization, and for the business and entrepreneurial fields it is essential to be able to both critically evaluate the role of the new technologies, such as social media in marketing communications strategies, but also to understand the variety of consumer-based models in specific markets. So, over these few days, the EMBA class will tap into these topics and discussions within the Marketing in a Digital World Module, in the company of Paul Dobson, one of our associate senior lecturers, with a long experience as a practitioner and academic in the field of digital and strategic marketing.

Marketing in a Digital World. Teachers and Content
Marketing in a Digital World will introduce students to key contemporary marketing and digital marketing concepts within the context of strategic marketing management, including hands-on experience of using contemporary digital marketing strategies and tools. The main purpose of this module is to help students develop a critical perspective on how marketing and digital marketing activities can substantially impact organisations' strategic and sustainable values in specific competitive markets. The unique feature of the module is that it will challenge the students to apply the previously acquired knowledge from the Economics module so that they can be able to develop market strategies.
The lecturer of the Digital Marketing Module is an academic, consultant and marketing practitioner. Paul Dobson is a Senior Lecturer at Staffordshire Business School with over 14 years of teaching experience. He is a lecturer and practitioner in inbound and outbound Marketing, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), and digital Marketing.
