
Transilvania Executive Education, together with Banca Transilvania and Republica, announce the winners of the Roberto Marzanati Scholarships for 2025 EMBA cohort. These scholarships, which cover 50% of the Executive MBA program tuition, are intended for leaders who demonstrate professional excellence, ambition, and a desire to contribute to the development of their community.
Following a selection process, the evaluation committee chose two winners:
Andrei Bogdan Rus - Founder and CEO of Cicada Technologies
Irina Mișca - Investment Manager at Fortech Investments
The competition for one of the two partial scholarships offered by Banca Transilvania at the TEE Executive MBA this year gathered 15 applications which entered a complex evaluation process involving alumni of the Executive MBA program, representatives of the sponsor, professors from the program and representatives from the business environment. Those who applied for the competition have top and middle management positions in aviation, IT, production, consultancy, investments, tourism, etc.
Who are the designated winners of the 2 EMBA scholarships at Transilvania Executive Education:
● Andrei Bogdan Rus, PhD, Engineer, is the founder and general manager of Cicada Technologies, a software company in Cluj-Napoca. Alongside his work at Cicada Technologies, he shares his passion for technology with the next generation of problem solvers as a lecturer at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. Over the years, he has been involved in four research projects and co-authored over 30 research papers. In business, his company collaborates with top players in the manufacturing industry, including Teraplast and Aptiv. Bogdan believes that digitalization should make work more enjoyable and meaningful. He advocates for creating software that supports people in their work, rather than the other way around. Driven by a commitment to fostering opportunities through technology, Bogdan leads ITLAB, a CSR initiative of the Romanian Business Leaders Foundation focused on creating IT laboratories in schools with limited resources.
● Irina Mișca is part of the Fortech Investments team, a Romanian private investor and strategic partner for seed and late-seed start-ups across multiple sectors. In her role, she helps early-stage ventures scale up and get ready for exit opportunities. Transitioning from restructuring businesses in financial distress to investment in private companies, Irina had the chance to work with entrepreneurs in every stage of a company’s lifecycle, learning that each of these stages comes with different struggles and challenges. Her strong belief is that with the right mindset and the right marketing Romanian entrepreneurs can leverage their skills and talents to build global brands.Irina is also actively involved in sourcing new investments and forging partnerships, with a special focus on supporting women’s initiatives and entrepreneurship, by collaborating with organizations like European Women in VC, Level 20, and European Women on Boards.
The scholarship winners will join the 11 cohort of Executive MBA programme, which will start on February 8, 2025. The TEE Executive MBA programme is validated by the University of Buckingham and the courses take place in Cluj-Napoca, being taught by international and Romanian experts.

Through the Roberto Marzanati Scholarships, Banca Transilvania and Republica continue to support the development of Romanian leaders by offering them access to one of the most prestigious Executive MBA programme in the country.
